Maldives to discuss tourism, investments with ambassadors

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to discuss the issues of tourism development and foreign investments with Maldivian Ambassadors appointed to various nations.

The ministry stated on Sunday that the two-day meeting which begins coming Wednesday will focus mainly on the promotion of the Maldives. The discussions will include promotion of tourism, bringing in more foreign investments, economic projects and national development.

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is to be the chief guest of the gathering.

The Foreign Ministry added that it will also impart information on the current ties between the ministry and foreign embassies, diplomatic policies and government’s decisions.
