Coco Collection wins Indian Ocean’s Leading Boutique Hotel Brand at Travel Awards

Local boutique luxury brand Coco Collection was awarded Indian Ocean’s Leading Boutique Hotel Brand at the World Travel Awards 2017.

The award was received by Coco Collection’s founder, managing director and chairman, Shabeer Ahmed, at the Indian Ocean gala ceremony held July 8 at the Sun Aqua Vilu Reef.

In a press release, Coco Collection stated, “This win is another step in strengthening the position as a leading boutique luxury brand in the Maldives and the region.”

The Coco Collection brand currently operates three properties in the Maldives, with the four-star Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu resort in Baa atoll, the private island Coco Privé Kuda Hithi and five-star Coco Bodu Hithi resort in Kaafu atoll.

The World Travel Awards are the most prestigious accolades in the sectors of travel, tourism and hospitality. The program was established in 1993 and has since been recognised as the ultimate trademark of excellence in the industry.
